I want to wire 4 speakers, that have a 4ohm impedance each, to a sony 4 channel amp. The thing is that I want to wire them at 2ohms each. Is this even possible?

no you can't wire a single 4 ohm speaker to a 2ohm load.

is there a way to hook up 2 speakers into to channels like so:
positive of channel 1 to positive of speaker one, negative of speaker 1 to positive of speaker 2, then negative of speaker 2 to negative of channel 2? and then leave negative of channel 1 and positive of channel 2 without doing anything?
