But what about the fuse that goes near the battery????

Here's an example:
If i have a 900 watt amp (and am using a 100amp fuse near the battery)... then if I use a distribution block, won't I need a higher amp fuse??? I'll need to add the the amp rating of both amplifiers??? (3 30amp fuses on one amp and 2 25amp fuses on the other = total of 140amp fuse near the battery. CORRECT or INCORRECT?)
What if i just hooked up the 2nd amp and DID NOT change the fuse near my battery??? Problems?
