I have two 12" Kicker Comp VRs 2 ohm and I just bought a Lanzar 266 2000 watt amp (2 channel). I'm pretty sure they're not wired right because as soon as I hooked them up they played for a little and the protection light came on. I have them hooked up series/parallel.

Someone tell me the right way. Please.

The amp is bridged, right?

Series/parallel with dual 2's results in a 2 ohm load on the amp. It's only stable at 4 ohms bridged. It SHOULD be shutting down.

You're going to have to go series/series for 8 ohms to keep the amp running. That should still get you 250-300w per sub, but dual 4's would be a better match.
