sorry i dont know much about car audio...

i just baught two Infinity 1240w 12 inch sub's
(anyone have any comments about these?)

im wondering how big of an amp do i need to power these ... like wattage. Or does anyone have any certain amp suggestions?!?

I have the 1242w, pretty much the same thing. Might wanna double check yours, but the 1242 are 4ohm DVC 300RMS. I wired them to an Audiobahn A8002T... Good sub for the price. I'm very impressed with the setup. I have the subs wired together in a 4ohm load, and the amp puts out 800RMS x 1 @ 4 ohms (bridged).
