Is it bad to hook up a capacitor to my amp and my Crossover? Or get a distributor for my cap and my crossover?

are you using your cap as a distro block? There is no need to have a cap on a crossover as the crossover doesn't pull hardly any power. I just have a small 12gauge power wire neatly tucked in with one of my power wires at my distro block. If you use a cap you want to put it on whichever amp will pull the most power which typically is the amp that runs the subwoofer.
