I was thinking about putting an amp in my basement, and have it power one Shiva Subwoofer. Is it possible to buy a car battery, use a solar panel trickle charger to charge it, and to run wires into my basement to power this amp? Would it feed it enough current?

Probably not. Most battery chargers can allow about 3-5 amps. That's not enough for most car amplifiers. You need at least 8 to ensure your wires don't melt, but more is always better.
