hey, i'm kinad stumped.
yesterday i readjusted the gains on my amps, thats all i did, but now i have alternator whine.
also, at idle the car is only sitting at 11.5 volts, it still gets up to 14.4 at higher RPMS though. with the stereo turned up, it dropps to 11.3 at idle at high volumes.
i get a high pitched humming noise from the driver's side speaker too, only the 4 inch midrange on the JL 3 ways.
i've unhooked all the stereo stuff and even taken off all the upgraded 1/0 gauge wire i added, speaker hum obviously goes away, but alternator still whines.
no idea why it started doing this, and no idea why its still doing it even though everything stereo related has been unhooked from the car....
any help would be greatly appreciated!!
thanks!!

also, is there a way to check the alternator while its still installed?? its a pain to remove, 92 honda accord, sideways engine, everything is on top of it, lol.

btw, stereo is:
2 JL 500/1's on a 13W7
JL 300/2 on JL XR 3 ways
Panasonic CQ VD 7001U
All 1/0 AWG Wire
all Monster Cable RCA's
160 amp alternator from 4alterstart
yellow top
bat cap 300
