After talking to my uncle who is a mechanic I have decided to go with Nate at Excessive Amperage to get a HO alternator for my 99 Camry.

Questions however... will 180A Alt cover what I plan to buy myself for xmas, which is the following:

2 Alpine Type-R 12" (1242D's I believe)
Either an Orion1200D or Kicker KX1200.1

I am getting will edgy and can't wait to buy this stuff. Just wanted to make sure the alternator is alright to handle the load from subs/amp. Would I need to consider getting a yellowtop battery as well or should I be ok?

i just got 2 12 type r's and the orion 1200d. when i get it installed ill let you know if my stock alt will handel it... i think it will. so yours may as well. ill let you know. i was looking at geting a 200 amp alt if i was to upgrade it.

yea id go up to a 200 amp alt if you upgrade
