I have a 1600 cuspid amp 4 channel(it sucks) and 2-12 subs, a pioneer deh-1600 head unit.I'am a poor college student and have kept this a cheap project. I cant get any desent bass out of these two 12's so I have been reading alot I dont understand it all but I think I need a crossover for the amp and two subs no other spekers will be added. tell me ur oppinion plz keep in mind Iam still pretty simple as for as knowlegde with stereo systems. I have no idea what kind and where to get a decent but cheap crossover either.

I built the box from stuff I found at the dump and the subs sound find with just the stereo Iam doing something wrong here.

What kind of box are your subs in? If you have no low pass crossover on that amp, that could be why you're not getting any bass out of them.
