The only CLARION code available for free (using a serial number ) from anywhere on the Internet is if your radio also has a BARCODE SERIAL NUMBER beginning with
C7000000 + + + + on a label somewhere on the metal casing.
If not then it will only be available from your Main Dealer or a Decoding Service or your local Car Radio / Audio Store who will connect a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM) |

Please quote ALL the LETTERS+NUMBERS on ANY BARCODES , LABELS or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASING.
There should be a 14 character Serial Number beginning with RG or GM or PH or similar (often found stamped in the metal casing ) so please quote EVERYTHING you can find |

Now when i tried to look up the serial number i read the instructionsbook - which told me to press 2 and 5 while turning the power on. This led me past the code-entry and the radio works. The PROBLEM is though that it stops to "bleep" every 5 seconds or so...Anyone heard of this before? thankful for any help! |

The only CLARION code available for free (using a serial number ) from anywhere on the Internet is if your radio also has a BARCODE SERIAL NUMBER beginning with C7000000 + + + + on a label somewhere on the metal casing.
(There are usually two barcodes on one label. The one required is the lower one )
If not then it will only be available from your Main Dealer or a Decoding Service or your local Car Radio / Audio Store who will connect a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM) |

No...this Kenwood is super secure...it requires the remote
Kenwood KRC 777R Code Entry
After decoding the set should operate without needing to input a code.
This is due to the code being sent via infra red remote control and cannot be entered in via the front panel.
Replacement remotes can be purchased from Kenwood direct.
