The cheapest option is usually a local Car Radio / Audio Shop who will connect a laptop and read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM) |

After a battery change I tried to enter the security code into my PU 9833A Clarion but as you do it in a vauxhall. (Girlfriends car  ). Now it just displays "SECURITY". Tried switching on whilst pressing each button in turn. Have left it switched on for days. Still not able to enter code. Any ideas? Anyone? |

Please note:

The only CLARION code available for free (using a serial number ) from anywhere on the Internet is if your radio also has a BARCODE SERIAL NUMBER beginning with C7000000 + + + + on a label somewhere on the metal casing.
(There are usually two barcodes on one label. The one required is the lower one )
If not then it will only be available from your Main Dealer or a Decoding Service or your local Car Radio / Audio Store who will connect a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM)

There should be a 14 character Serial Number beginning with RG or GM or PH or similar (often found stamped in the metal casing ) so please quote EVERYTHING you can find |

The radio will have to be removed from the car dashboard .
Then please quote the r MAKE + MODEL of your radio plus ALL the LETTERS and NUMBERS on any LABELS , BARCODES or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASING. |
