My new system will be a 600.1 kicker amp pushing a kicker solo-baric 12. I will also have about 200 watts of 6x9s and 4's. Its going into a 85 monte carlo. Im not sure how strong the current alternator is. But what im wondering is how many amps my system is gonna draw. Thanks

A high current alt is always a good choice if you can afford it. Unfortunately thats not always the case. I wouldn't worry about it with the setup you described. Just make sure your current alt is healthy and your battery is in good shape. |

Set up the system, turn the key and see what happens! If the lighting inside and outside the car dims- well than thats a problem... |

~75A at full output from the system.
that's the most it'll draw.
