Thread: Does 2 amps mean 2 sets of rca's? |

if i get 2 class d amps to power 2 subs, do i have to run 2 sets of rca's from the head unit? i was lookin at gettin 2 rockford 501bd's. please help me out here guys, thanks |

no. you run one set of RCA lines from the sub output of the head unit. then, you see if teh amps have pass-through RCA output jacks. if so, you use a short set of RCA cables to daisy-chain one amp to the other. If the amps do not offer this feature, use Y-splitters to divide the signal between both amps. www.knukonceptz.com has the Y-splitters for a couple bucks.

dont u lose some power though using y splitter. ive heard that u dont get as much current running through the wires as u would without using a y splitter. |

would you happen to know if the rockford 501bd's have pass-through rca output jacks? and if not do you know of any good 500 rms class d amps that do? thanks glass |

im new to all of this...i was wondering if anyone coudl just expalin what you need to make a good car audio system...im bnot sure what you need, as in amp and othertsuff like that |
