I know someone selling brand new Sony Xplods for around $60-$80 for both. They are both 350W RMS and hes just dumb and bought them and now needs cash because of personal things. Is that a good deal? I was looking at amps for these and heard that sony underates thier amps. Would a 1200 watt xplod amp be enough or would 2 760 amps work? Could i hook up 2 760 xplod Amps in my car and if i can how do i do that? Thanks for your help |

or maybe could someone find another amp that would be sub$200 that would have enough power to make these 250RMS Xplods hit hard? I keep hearing the Sony Amps suck but what about these speakers? I tested them against someones Rockford subs and they sounded a little better with the same amp as the Rockfords. Can someone please help me out im a littl new to all this |

honestly, sony subs are absolutely awful. so are their amplifiers. you want something around 600wRMS x 1 @ 2 Ohms try the: JBL BP600.1 or Kicker KX600.1 Then nwhen you ahve the money, sell the sony subs and look at upgrading to the Kicker CompVR 12" subs. two 2+2 DVC models. They'll be far better, and they are rated for teh same power handling, so it's a simple swap out on the same amp.

the JBL has two sets of speaker terminals just for that purpose. makes it really easy.

two 4 ohm subs in parallel is a 2 ohm load. that'd be a bit over 300wRMS per sub. just about ideal.
