First off I'm planning on replacing the system I have now, here's what I'm currently running:
Alpine 7998 head unit
Alpine 12 Disc changer
Alpine Type-R component speakers up front
Alpine 2-ways in back
2 Kicker 15L7's in a 10cu. ft. custom ported box
1 Kicker 1200.1 (birthsheet said 1440w)
and 1 Kicker 300.4 for the mids and highs
If anyone sees anything there they'd want to purchase let me know, I'm planning on replacing it around mid summer.
I'm planning on going with JL XR component sets and 2ways in place of the alpines, and 2 13W7's in place of the L7's.
But my main question is about the amps, trying to decide between Alpines M1000, and the JL 1000/1. Leaning towards the JL's though.
Also, does anyone know where I can get a higher powered alternator for an 02 Yukon? Because I'm definitely straining the stock alternator since its pushing 2 Optima batteries. |

go with the JL 1000/1 amp. much nicer amplifier, and the W7s are 3 Ohm subs, so you'll need to match power based on that.
As for the alternator, try:
