My son is doing a project at school and needs to connect my old Sony Xplode to a mains power supply (240v).
I thought we could do it by using an adaptor that I have which converts mains to a cigar lighter connection. But the wiring harness that comes out the back of the stereo has one power wire, one constant power wire and one earth. So im not sure how to wire that up or if it will even work.

Does this make sense to anybody?

Any help appreciated,

Steve

Sorted it...
Connected the red and yellow wires to one side of the cigar lighter plug and the black earth to the other.
