i would personally use the Hex's with the silk tweeter. i don't like harsh tweets, and the inverted metal dome Focal(if that's what it comes with), i was told it has a difficult time getting the imaging right in a car environment. you should ask your self if you like aggressive, or warm less bright tweeters. then decide on what component set would more suit you. hope that helps.

I have always been partial to a soft dome tweet. I have had many people rave about the focals though. Thats why I was looking for people who actually have or have heard them. Are there better options in the same price range? |

Would it be worth it to say use the MS6 in the rear and bump to a UP6 or UR6 for the front? |

Got something for ya to take a look at: http://www.ologyaudio.com/reviews.html There are some decent comparisons of a few component sets near the price there. |

They look a little large... I have read on the Ologyaudios before. I plan on sticking with a production run comp set though. |

haha well I'm not sure what you meant by production run... but if you mean custom drivers... preorders for some are starting in the next 2 weeks or so after we confirm that the prototype meets specs... ;) |

MB Quarts are bright as well. I would definately go with the diamonds. Those things sound truely amazing, a little less bright then most speakers, but the most natural. You can probably look into Boston Acoustics Pro60s also. Those are nice speakers as well. If you can make it happen, the diamond hex 3 ways are phenomenal (sp?)! I love the way they image and the sound is superb! |
