a guy i know is selling a pyle plcd69mp head unit, 240 watts. anybody know anything about these? good? bad? also, it states that it has one preout, but when i looked at it, it only has your average "wiring harness" looking output, with a cable that converts it to a preout, what's up with that, thanks

That breaks down to 60w x4 which is really around 22w X4 RMS. So in reality, it's more like 88w of output power total. It's already a rip off of the JVC Kameleon (which is a cheap unit to begin with). And I have yet to see a Pyle last for more than a year without having an issue.

The pre-out is most likely just a Front, meaning there is no chance for a frequency filter thus any external amplifiers would have to have HPF or LPF filters already built into them. Plus there is little system flexibility for the future...

I say forget it and buy something else, Pyle is awful.
