I just bought a set for my 88 chev 1500. The guy that sold them to me said they would double the sound of the current factory that were in there as well as double the bass. I have nothing in the rear so i bought another set for the rear. What kind of bass can i expect to get compared to say 6" bose door speakers. I like the bass am I going to get it with the new found speaker power?

you won't get bass from anything that small.
if you want bass, get a sub. it's that simple.
use the proper speakers for what you're after.
a 4x6" plate is for mids/highs. They will roll off around 500Hz or so naturally.
