My husband just aquired a new/older amp Kenwood for our car. He refuses to ask anyone but what in the world is a POSTIVE GROUND. He has no clue and for the past 3 weeks i have sat there listening to him complain about it please let me know. thanks jaaziel |

no. a positive ground is a not too common type of 12 volt system in cars. What most cars have is a 12 volt common (neg) ground, not a floating ground system. doing a google search for "12 volt positive ground" and you can find inverters to convert to 12 volt negative ground, which is what car audio products are designed for. 12 volt pos ground and 6 volt systems are mostly found in English cars, and older 50s cars that had generators instead of alternators, respectively.
