what happens if I run 2 ohm speakers off my Eclipse CD5444. I just want to hook up the factory rear speakers for fill; one to each rear cannel.

Right now I have them running in series to 1 channel and it powers them fine, but I'd rather run them in serio. Dunno why Nissan used 2 om speakers, maybe it's because my old stock HU only put out like 6 watts RMS

I don't know about the 5444's amp section, but many decks use an already bridged output for each channel so 2 ohms might be a no-no. If you're getting plenty of output off one channel just get you a couple of 2 ohm power resistors and hook them up in series with each driver.

Couldn't find 2 ohm at radio shack, but they have 1 ohm 10 watt resistors:

Use two in series with each speaker. 10 watts should be plenty of power handling. You'd need an amp that produces more than 40 watts continuous/channel into 4 ohms to exceed 10 watts to each resistor if wired in this fashion. Wired like this each speaker would be getting the same power as your series/one channel configuration.
