Ive got standard factory speakers, a jvc kd-lx100 reciever and the speakers have started to krakle when there is any bass and if the volume is turned up at all. What should i do?

it could be a few things...

1.) CD's are getting scratched
2.) the speakers are just getting worn out and old (sign of old age and may need to retire if you get my drift)
3.) You blew your speakers.

Buy a brand new CD from a store(so you know it is clear as a bell) and put it in...if you still get crackling...try adjust your EQ on the headunit...if you've done those things...it's time to say c-ya to your factory speakers...if that is it, you can get decent 2-ways for $100 a pair...look into that.

Check your speaker cone. It could be cracked.
