hi,
I am pretty new to the car speaker market. I have 8 ohm 6x9 speakers in the rear of my car, i was wondering what these 8 ohm ratings mean?? i have an aftermarket sony deck, and would it be better to run 8 ohm speakers or 4 ohm speakers?

An ohm is the resistance of the speaker. If you get a 4 ohm speaker you can deliver more power to it because it has less resistance.
