how come on a mtx801d amp it's dynamic power is 800w@2ohmsx1(rated at 14.4v), and RMS wattage is only 500w@2ohmsx1(rated at 12v)

i kno the difference is in the power of my alt(which is 12) but why such a big drop off, 300w, it's almost half it's wattage, i can see it being like 800 and then 700 or somthing
