For dimming lights? Not a whole lot. If you have problems with dimming lights, your best bet is to get a HO alternator.

Capacitors are used so that the voltage to your amp doesn't sag during large bass hits.
Capacitors don't replace getting a HO alternator. If your lights dim, that means you're not getting enough amps out of your alternator. A capacitor just compounds this problem by adding more load, you just don't see the lights dimming anymore.
