i have a jensen cd335x, i know jensen but it was gave too me and im broke, anyways does any1 know what the rca's volts are, i need to know what to set my gain at on my amp for my sub. |

Here's a way to do it without knowing voltage: 1. Turn the gain control on the amplifier all the way down. 2. Turn up the volume control on the source unit(Jensen) to approximately 3/4 of maximum. 3. Adjust the gain control on the amplifier until audible distortion occurs. 4. Adjust the gain control until audible distortion dissapears. 5. It should now be calibrated properly to the output of the source unit. I got these instructions from my user's manual to my MTX amp, it generally applies to all external amps, though some people prefer turning their headunit up to full volume then adjusting so they can get as loud as possible before distortion. |
