Does anyone know what the least amount of amprige I can use to run a car cd player. I want to run the CD player in my house and was wondering if 12V 1Amp power supply would be enough. I tried 300ma and it would run the radio and lights but kept trying to turn of when i wanted to run a CD. plus the power supply was getting pretty hot.

One ampere is the absolute minimum. If all four speaker outputs are being utilized, I would suggest at least eight amperes, though you won't need more than fifteen.
