i have a question i have a 1988 olds 98 regency i just installed a jvc kd-g310 unit but i have a problem first when i had the stereo on the acc position doors closed it drained my battery like in 20 minutes,jump started it is started right back up, then i tested my voltage meter in my dash by turnig ac on lights on stereo on my meter on dash went well below halfway, also when car is of but on ign on acc i turn volume to about 21 volume sounds fine but when car is on i turn same volume 21 and sound all distored kinda poppy crackly but not the blown speaker sound, ihave no amp connected just regular speakers and some 10's connected.

The distortion might just be the factory speakers needing to be replaced. And are the 10's subs? Those should be run off an external amp...

Also, is the battery being drained while the car is turned on or shut off?
