i hooked my friends cd player up in her cavalier and she wanted me to just go ahead and hard wire it but i couldnt find a power wire. i found the constant and everything else but the power wire. I tried to get to the back of the fuse panel but dont really know where i would run a wire from and couldnt get the steering column apart to run a wire from the ignition switch. where else could I run a wire from? this is in a 2002 cavalier, and for now i just have the constant and power hooked up to the constant power wire in the car so the cd player doesnt turn off even when the car is off.

Use the fusebox. Find a fuse that is only being powered while the car is on, then tap into it.
