to all of u with this deck and with previous experience with the alpine 9835. is the 9855 better than the 9835. i wanted to know to see if i should change decks. |

I dont know man but just the fact that they took out the internal amp and now its 18 watts rms instead of 26 watts rms is not a good thing. And the whole touch glide system to me sounds like its just gonna break easily. I have had the 9835 for a while now and I think its amazing. There is a guy who has a clip of the 9853 in action http://realmofexcursion.com/videos.html just go down to the various section. And to me it looks pretty stupid. |

the 9835 looks to be the better head unit to me...simple yet elegant, and the touch thing feels like it could break at any moment or you could go eclipse and be much happier  |

the 9835 is really a great unit though, it has a nice look to it for sure |
