i'm putting 2 pair(4)of rockford fosgates power 6x8 component speakers in my 1996 ford ranger.(front and back of truck) i was just wondering if i needed an amp for these component speakers...each speaker's max peak is 200 watts, i cant really afford an amp right now and if i got one it would be cheap...do i really need one? will it sound worse then my stock speakers since i dont have an amp? also what do you think about these speakers? good choice or should i have picked a different company? |

they'll sound better than your stock speakers and unless you're talking about canadian money, 800 dollars for 2 sets of RF components would be insane. good deal though. as far as an amp, get them installed without one and see if you like it. if you find yourself wanting more, get an amp down the road. |
