Are there any good HU's out there that don't look so lame. I just got my first nice car ever, and I don't want to ruin the nice looking interior with some juvenile flashing light display and chrome faceplate. Can anyone suggest an HU that would actually not draw excessive attention to itself in the middle of an otherwise refined dash. Also, if anyone knows a good car audio installer in the Boston area could you let me know. I've always done my own, but I've never had a nice car before, most of them already had multiple holes. |

anyone know anything about Nakamichi, their cd400 looks very nice, but I've never heard of the brand before. |

Nakamichi is an excellent brand. I would buy it myself, but I can't afford it... The Alpine CDE-9845 is probably not what you are looking for as mentioned above due to it having so much silver on the faceplate. |

Try JVC DV5000 HU. It is silver but the graphics and display changes colours to whatever you desire. There is such thing as paint. Use it if something looks ugly. Too bad it doesn't work on humans! |

Yeah, remember the human paint incident of '97? I haven't tried it since... |
