Is there any advantage to getting an Alpine head unit if you are hooking it up to an Alpine MRV545 amp. Right now I am Planning on getting the Alpine 9855. The salesman claims there is an advantage. Where I'm buying it sells Pioneer and Clarion as well. Any thoughts. Thanks |

The headunit itself has an amplifier link that controls some aspect of the V12 series amps. Other than that, I can't think of any reason why you would have an advantage to having the same brand amp as your headunit. |

Yeah, I think you can monitor amplifier temperature and supply voltage from the h/u with that link dealie. -Fishy |
