I'm a little confused about preamp outputs. When you connect an amp to a preamp output, does the bass/treble levels on the head unit affect the signal going out of the preamp outputs? For example, if I change the bass does that affect the bass level being sent to the amp for the subs? I'd appreciate it someone could clarify this for me. Thanks |

Yes, the tone settings on the headunit affect the signal going to the amplifier. |

It depends on the deck. High-end decks usually have an equilzer/crossover or both for the subwoofer channels, or preamp channels. Then they have a level adjuster so you can adjust the amp level to the specific type of music. |

so would it be best to turn everything to 0 on the amp and just adjust it by the HU? |
