I'm thinking about getting a Kenwood KAC-8152D amp. Are Kenwood amps any good?

That'll depend on what you're trying to accomplish. I personally think Kenwood is way overrated. If money is a problem, try MTX or Audiobahn.

I'm looking for something that will do 300 watts rms x 1 @ 4 ohms for a decent price.

Look for MTX 6500D. It'll give you 500w rms and they used to go for $100 on eBay.
Audiobahn's DUB models are also cheap and perform decent.
