what amp is more powerful mtx 1501d or kicker kx1200.1 , mtx says that the amp is gonna get 500 rms at 4 ohms , 1000rms at 2 ohms, and it doesnt say at 1 ohm i think itīs 2000rms not???(maybe the amp is not stable at 1 ohm but i can use it like that )and the kicker amp says its gonna get 400 rms at 4 ohms 800rms at 2 ohms and 1200 rms at 1 ohm so do you think the mtx amp is more powerful at 1 ohm==???????????????????????????????? |

I wouldn't run the MTX at 1 ohm. You could also check out the JBL 1200.1 and a Hifonics BX1205D for cheap amps that are 1 ohm stable. |

The MTX1501D is not stable at 1 ohm. Also, the real rms power of the MTX amp is around 1500+ watts (@ 2ohms). The 1000 watt rating is conservative. I prefer the MTX amp because it is made in the USA. I don't know about anyone else, but I don't like paying $300+ dollars for an amp and finding a sticker that reads "Made in China." Kicker's amps still perform well, but I choose not to buy them anyway. |
