my friend recently just gave me his sony xplode amp and 2 450 pioneer 12" subs and i installed them myself and everything seemed fine at first but after about 30 seconds the subs turn way down, practically off, and the "offset" light will come on the amp...i have heard that that means there is a problem with the grounding but i don't believe there is a problem with my ground because its attatched the the frame in my trunk...i have a saturn, plastic car, so its hard to find a good ground....if anyone has had this problem or knows how to fix it please help...i am sick of having to pull over and restart my car just to hear my subs =(

Nathan, check your gain/level setting on the amp. It could be set incorrectly. For 4v HU, it should be set mid way (assuming the Sony amp is 8v max).
If you need good ground, take a look at your rear seat. There should be some car chassis exposed under it.
