when the player goes off & my system, the player's headunit automatically folds down for me to detach it. i don't want to detach it .. anyone with this unit kno how to turn this off or is it always like that?

Press and hold SOURCE until the unit turns off. Then press and hold the multi-control until the clock appears in the display. Then use the multi-control to select "auto-open" and finally press the multi-control to turn it off. If you also want to turn off the beeping when you turn the car off turn the multi-control back to "warning" and press the multi-control to turn that off.
