i have a panasonic deck that gives out 50x4 watt. is this rms or max. if max what do you think the rms is?

It is max, although, they did recently come out with a unit that puts out 60x4 rms,but none that put out a straight 50x4 rms. Your deck probably puts out 18x4rms.
