help is needed, i have a premier 6150f, 4ch, 600 watt amp, pioneer 5way speakers in the back, 4 way in the front, and a premier DEH-P960MP headunit... now my amp works fine up to about 15-16 on the volume level, but if i go any higher, it cuts off,(you can still hear the music, but it is very very low), as if it has a volume protection on it or something, i have 8 gauge wire for the amp, and i checked the connections and everything looks good, what else could be the problem????

When did the problem start happening? Did you say you have 5-way speaker system for the rear and 4-way in the front? Don't think I"ve seen a 5-way for a car.
What is the amp's spec? Are you meeting the minimum ohm requirements of the amp? What is your gain/level set at?
You are either exceeding the ohm requirements or the gain/level is set too high.
