The only real significant difference is the price. The JBL is a fraction of the cost and has just about as good build quality. It depends on what you are powering, that would give it more SQ. I would take the JBL. |

Current draw should be about the same on both amps. like sub said, the JL will prolly sound a lil better...but you could get 2 maybe 3 bp1200.1's for the price of 1 JL 1000/1. Dont under over look the bp1200.1...its a great lil amp. |

The bp1200.1 will draw roughly 115A when it is wide open. It is fused at 120A. I do 145db with this amp on an SX15. |

Hey MO if I were you I would sell that 500/1 and buy a HCCA 250G4 and run the Avalanche at 1ohm thats what I am gonna do as soon as I get a minute to take out my A600 and hook up the 250G4, I cant stand looking at this thing in my room it is killing me. Hey Isaac do you think I should run my A/D/S's with my a600 and have no rears or should I run them with my pcx 480 and run my rear boston acoustics with it? I cant wait to get this done I just cant really make up my mind what I want to do, I am getting the Components installed on the 19th so I have to know what amp I want to run to them by then. |

yea MO, i have a 180A alt and a 2farad cap. an HCCA250g4 on that Avalanche would be really nice. I think it is fused at 60A. Here is what it is rated at: 2 x 50 @ 4 Ohm 2 x 100 @ 2 Ohm 2 x 200 @ 1 Ohm 2 x 400 @ .5 Ohm 1 x 200 @ 4 Ohm 1 x 400 @ 2 Ohm 1 x 800 @ 1 Ohm these amps are underrated though. |

The jbl is rated at 600w @ 4ohm, 1200w @ 2 and 1ohm. Fused at 120A. |

wow that is flexible. Nice amp. I could always use my ppi pcx2200 later on when i upgrade to HO alternator which is a nice amp for my avalanche also and that amp is 80A and it reads like this for ratings: 200 x 2 @ 4ohms 400 x 2 @ 2ohms 800 x 1 @ 4ohms I could use this for my avalanche 15 but how do i wanna wire this to get the right voicecoil and wattage from the amp. |

MO you can use that amp. Wire it in series for a 4ohm load. I would go with that over the 500/1. The fuse rating on the 250hcca is 80 amps not 60amps. I would run either one of those two amps but since you already have the PPI run that |
