ok ok, I have talked to many different stroes and guys and they alkl have different opinions on Kenwood amps. The stores that sell Kenwood usually promote it, the ones that dont somtimes say its good but other times say its not worth buying. Well im interested in buying a kenwood Kac-x811d and well i want to know if kenwood is the real deal, is it a reliable good sound quality amp or is it crap? |

Kenwood is OK, but for the money I would take Kicker, JBL, MTX, US Acoustics, etc. You could also try a used amp. The Orion G4 amps were really good, and can be bought used on ebay cheap-just be sure of what you are buying. Some people don't treat their amps well.
If money is not an issue look at zapco's c2k and reference lines. You could also try JL, arc, US amps, or xtant. |

I agree with JW total crap. Unless your gettin a h*ll of a deal on it but still i would look at jbl or mtx they are in the same price rang. |

10-15 years ago Kenwood amps were a good, middle of the road, reliable amp. their top of the line HUs though, were right up there with Alpine and the other quality units. Now-a-days I think I'll stay away even though ive had Kenny HUs for over 22 years now. Going to try an ECLIPSE next and Ive been a PPI fan for amps for about 12 years now. |
