OK, my system consists of a Kenwood KAC-7201 amplifier and 2 10" Alpine Type R subwoofers. Is this a good amp for the subs or is there a better amp or setup? Let me know..summer is coming up.

Of course there are plenty of better amps/setups out there.
Alpines make good HUs, that's about it. All of their other products range from okay to being overrated.
Kenwoods make average products. Nothing great, and nothing terribly bad like Sony/Pyramid.
Depending on your budget, you can try PPI PC/PCX series amp/ Orion HCCA G4, Zapco, Xtant, JL, Arc Audio, US Amps. Even MTX is better than Kenwood.
For subs, have a look at JL/RE X.X.X. series. If that is out of your price range, then try some RF.
