Hey everyone, I bought an audiobahn 2400 rms watt amp and a audiobahn immortal 15" 2250 rms sub and I have a kole 2.5 cap. Within 3 months my car just kept dying due to the capacitor being messed up (later found out). I have a stock 120 alternator, that I replaced and the amp has not been on it yet. I really only use about 400-500 watts when i'm driving it (I didn't realize how much power 2000 watts were). What are the best ways to make it so it won't die on me anymore. |

well first of all that 2400 watt amp isnt even putting out half that amount of power RMS I can assure you of that. As far as your car dying I would say your alternator/battery combo needed to be replaced anyways. Those things just get old and die after a few years of being abused. I would change both if you havnt changed your battery already and you should be fine. |

I have a 900 watt fuse in the wiring thing that goes to my battery and when I turn it up about half way the fuse dies. |
