im trying to find a decent system for under 2 grand.im really new at car systems and need help. i have a 1987 420 sel mercedes any suggestions on what i shud put in it |

That should be enough for a decent system.
Look for 6.5" component speakers such as MB Quart, Boston, Infinity, CDT, Focal.
For amps, try Zapco C2K series, Orion HCCA G4 series, PPI's PC/PCX or Art series, Xtant, US Amps, and JL.
For subs, JL, RE X.X.X., MTX, Kicker, and Orion.
If you have the trunk space, then look for ported box, if not then sealed.
For wiring and accessories, get 4 gauge power wiring kit, 1.5F - 2F capacitor, depending on your stock alternator, maybe even a HO version.
If your current HU is stock, then look to upgrade that first to Alpine/Infinity/Pioneer/JVC.
