I am putting new rubber inserts in my 6X9's. I was wondering what glue works best the glue it to the frame and the cone. |

I think silicone would work good. I didnt think that you needed to glue them. you can use weather stripping to seal the speaker into the cone. |

What kind of weather stripping? As for silicone I was going to use aquarium silicone, but I just wasen't sure. Thanks for your help.

NO. do NOT use silicone. that eats the surrounds. you need to use adhesive that's designed for speaker surrounds by a company like 3M. look online for speaker building supply companies. you can buy the glue online. you also need to make sure the cone is aligned when gluing the surrounds, or you'll wreck the speaker when you use it.
