I bought an amp kit but it didn't have a power terminal in it and it said that I needed to purchase one and I did. The thing is, is that the power wire has a ring terminal on the end that's supposed to connect to the battery post. The problem is, the ring is to small for my battery post, and if the kit said that I neede a power terminal why would the power cable have a terminal ring on the end of it, which by the way doesn't fit the power terminal or the battery post. Should I remove the ring and just slide the wire inside the power terminal, or what? someone who knows their stuff please help me. |

You can either cut the ring, strip the wire and use the power terminal, or drill out the terminal ring where it will fit the current battery terminal. Whichever will give you best results, doesn't really matter as long as the wire won't slide out. |
