you buy a average sub and then want to power it with a great amp? get a Audiobahn to power it. might as well have junk powering junk. sorry for sounding so harsh but I just hate Audioblah.

audiobahn isnt junk...pursae...they arent the greatest by far...but they do get loud...they dont sound to great though...and i wouldnt power that audiobahn with that zapco amp unless you were going to be upgrading your sub in the future.

Audiobahn is not as bad as some people make them out to be. I've personally tested them. They are good for people with low budget. Unlike Sony/Pyramid/Lanzar/Pyle, it delivers.
For better subs, look at RE X.X.X., JL, and Orion. If you have the space, then try 15".

thank for the info. 12 is what i want . like to have a tighter bass . don't care to much for 15's
any model on the 12 i can use with 2000w rms
the orion H2 sounds good. any thing better . i will say about $1300.00 for two subs. i am aready spending alot on two zapco amps so money is abit limited for the subs. zapco C2K-9.OXD and C2K-2.5X.

With the Zapco's C2K series amp, C2K 6 and 9 are the only 2 worth purchasing.
Take a look at JL's 12" subs too.

I'm not sure that C2K-9 matches well with any 3 ohm subs. Its got some pretty strange power specs. It'd either produce 2000 watts into one w7 bridged or 2x400 into a pair. To get a more acceptable level of power you'd probably have to bridge the thing into a couple of series wired w7's which according to JL is something that should "be avoided at all costs".

from here:

http://www.jlaudio.com/tutorials/wiring/index.html

I guess 2 10w7's at 400 watts each or one 13w7 at 2000 watts might not be too shabby, but I think if your going JL w7's your better off with a JL amp(1000/1).

:-)

Zapco's C2K 9 is 2200w rms of power. Are you sure you will be able to stand that much sound pressure? You will either go deaf or the car will break down.
Anyhow, you will be very impressed with those combo.
