I bought a used car that included a Clifford XL500. I also have an old XL1000 that's been sitting in a box for several years. The two are similar, same remotes for both, but the XL1000 has additional connections. Looking at the wiring colors, it doesn't appear as if I can just plug the XL1000 into the XL500's harness, without some minor rewiring, assuming Clifford kept their wiring color codes consistant.
Anyone have or know where I can find install guides for either or both of these units? Clifford's website has "Owner's Guides", which contain only operating and programming instructions, but no wiring or installation info.

I have an XL1000 installed in my GTO. However, in the recent Tauranga floods it got wet and is malfunctioning. Are you interested in sell yours? |
