Thread: RF, Alpine,Kicker? Which Amp is the best here? |

So I've come down to these three amps for my 15" X.X.X.
Rockford Fosgate T10001bd
Alpine MRD-M1005
Kicker 04KX1200.1.
I have no experience with amps so ANY opinions would be greatly appreciated. They are all fan cooled and are around the same wattage. I like RF, not sure why. I like the Alpine because I have an Alpine in_dash soo I can use the amp link. Just not sure about the damping factor and whatever else. THANKS 4 Your Thoughts |

I would suggest either the RF or the Alpine amp. I personally am a RF fan and myself would get the T10001. But to narrow it down to two....I recommend the RF or Alpine. |

How much are you paying for those amps? If the RF/Kicker/Alpine is anywhere close to $700, then go with Zapco's C2K 9.0. It's on sale on eBay starting at $500. It'll blow those 3 brands away.

No no where near $700. If that was the case I would be getting the Jl 1000/1 like I want. Must of those are around $500. So I didnt really hear anything technical just sugguestions. Any reasons y? |

Alpine may make good HU, but their amps aren't in the same category. Take any one of Apline's amps and compare it to Zapco/Orion HCCA/PPI PC/PCX series/JL and you'd see nothing special. They're over priced too IMO.
In fact I can't remember which model it was, but the slew rate was under 10v.
If you're set on those 3 brands, then I'd go with RF first. |
