i purchased a bp300.1 from car domain as a factory refurbished item. everything looked great and i thought i had found a really great deal.
i had the amp in my closet, still in the box, for about 4months while i was trying to trade vehicles and getting the new equipment ready for the new vehicle.

i hooked it up and it does not work.
i could hear a very faint sound coming from the sub so in desperation i tried the old vending machine that takes your money trick and bumped it with my hand. voila,....it played great for about 10 seconds. with each bump after thatit would play for a second or two.
it is obviously some loose connection in the speaker terminals on the amp.since the nearest repair center that accepts jbl warranty claims is 200 miles from here[according to jbl.com] is there any way i can fix thisby taking the cover off and seeing what the problem is. after all i dont want a 100 dollar repair bill or a 200 mile ride for a 130 dollar amp.
